Students Take Home Awards at L.I. Math Fair

Congratulations to the 21 students from Hicksville Middle School and Hicksville High School who advanced to the final round of the Long Island Math Fair, winning either gold, silver or bronze medals.

Some of the award-winning projects tackled by Hicksville students included Analysis and Application of the Probability Theory, Binomial Theorem, Codes and Ciphers, Cryptology, Game Theory, Math Behind Sudoku and Predicting House Prices Using Linear Regression.

The following Hicksville Middle School students took home medals: Siddh Agarwal (gold), Sara Ashraf (bronze), Birinder Bachhal (gold), Pearl Gupta (gold), Pratiksha Malayil (bronze), Pariket Raval (gold) and Jia Walia (gold).
