Dear Hicksville Families, Students, and Staff,
On behalf of the entire Hicksville Board of Education, we are excited to welcome you back for the 2026–2027 academic year. We hope you had a safe, restful, and enjoyable summer break and are returning with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
As a Board, we enter this new school year focused on our shared mission: To provide access to a wide variety of innovative programs to prepare students for college, career and life experiences beyond the classroom. Our classrooms are ready to serve as a dynamic world-class learning organization that is future focused, embraces diversity, values global thinking, and develops lifelong learners through innovative programs and services.
A truly vibrant educational culture relies on regular, meaningful, two-way communication from all stakeholders within our community. We invite and encourage our parents, staff, students, and residents to stay actively engaged throughout the year by maintaining an open dialogue, attending our monthly Board of Education meetings, and participating in every possible opportunity to shape our district's future.
Committee meetings are open to the public and are generally held in the Boardroom on the first or second Wednesday of each month. Please check the district calendar and website for specific dates, times, and additional information. Our first Board of Education meeting of the school year will be held on September 23 at 7:30 p.m., and we hope to see YOU there!
